That was a great article. I do need to work on my focus. One of my favourite quotes that I believe is relevent, "If you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

I have a similar experience and can relate to certain circumstances. As Brian stated I would consider myself to be a creative genius. In previous companies, I was the person making suggestions to import new technology equipment to give the then company the edge required to be successful. For some reason known to me later, I would become distracted and would either pursue another product with another company and never taste the success of what I have initiated.

When I started working for a new company in Sep 2007, the same happened and soon I was involved in bringing on-board an external imported product. I however decided to maximize my focus and this intern was met with internal and external criticism. I minimized my resistance against this onslaught and in turn maximized my persistence. Now 22 months later I succeeded in tasting success when I closed a major deal with a multi-national financial institution worth millions.

This all sounds great until last week Friday when my Group MD called me in to congratulate me and then pass the contract over to our holding company.

Now the question arises, what have I done wrong. He who criticized me and this product for 22 months is now making his company look very good, but he forgot who got him there in the first place.

We are all creative beings just as the ultimate being is the divine creator. To create something is to bring into existence something that did not exist before. Creative genius comes when you bring into existence something that will enhance the lives of all who encounter your creation, including yourself. In order to tap your creative genius, there are a few considerations that you should be aware of.

Through out all the articles that Brian has written on this Blog, all of them have one common denominator THE BALANCE. Balance between Reality and Dreams, they are never on the same page, only one fits in at a time. "Sell what people want to buy" that was an under-rated notion I often heard while Job Hunting, but would a creative person opt to sell something cheap which is rampantly available NO! Creative people don't sell anything they are gifted by nature and thus they are instictively inclined towards relishing their gifts to this world, Money does follow creativity, lately but it does, or better than that gives them a divine position in the history of this world.

Knowledge and Creativity in this world is nothing without MONEY thats another harsh reality I revealed while going through piles of Job Offers and Professional Ventures, Piece of crap as they call it! Its the one Vitamin that can cure almost all your illicit deficiencies thats REALITY, but win this battle and you are set to win the big WAR ahead I tell you. Money is the biggest motivator in this world! and to prove it just tell me about one thing or one place that does not need money, and this is as funny as it can get; "Even GOD nowadays needs MONEY!" Creativity and knowledge flys above the clouds like an eagle, it doesn't matter whether it rains or it lightning, only the business minded counterpart birds that live below the horizon have to seek shelter on a tree branch.

Strategic focus and persistence are two of the traits that most successful genius types showcase.

They find a way to leverage their passion into something that grows stronger and gets better with time.

Thanks for sharing your insight and bringing these traits to our attention.
