Great advice! I’ve been looking around for properties for sale in the area I live in currently, the Baltimore apartments I live in are in a nice location and my husband and I have lived in Baltimore for years. These tips will come in very handy.

That tenant agreement is a pretty interesting way of doing it. All the incentives seem right.

it’d be nice to have that option on the place I’m renting. Might make me inclined to do a little more to fix it up.

Just a thought on the investor coming up with the 10% down payment. I read ‘The Road To Wealth’ by Robert Allen and he suggests finding an investor to fund the property for you. That means the investor is doing all the leg work instead of coming up with the downpayment. He also suggests other creative ways to purchase the property.

I’m glad you mentioned Robert Allen. He’s one of my favorites.

I like the idea of finding an investor. That’s sort of the way movies and businesses are ran. The investors are part owners and the managers are part owners.

Yet another book saved on my wish-list

I agree with you on the Real Estate Expo – every single person I heard talk was promoting their product. I ended up buying Robert Shemins (its like a 15 hour audio program) and split the cost with my brother so it wasn’t bad.

Although it’s good material, I’ve found some things that I wouldn’t personally do – although he admits that some of the things are only for certain people.

I like when people are honest about things – it makes you trust them much more.

Since you said this author seems honest, I’ll be sure to pick it up.

I think you’ll be comfortable with everything these guys suggest. It’s a great program.
