Brian,

Your post can beer help your golf game really hits home. When I first started playing it was all about the beer, and I also thought about how the golf course was the only place you could legally drink and drive. Your right the first couple of beers did seem to help my game but it was a downward spiral after that. Since my game was awful anyway I continued to drink throughout my rounds for sometime. I got to a point where I was actually starting to play a decent game and found the drinking was turning a decent round into a disaster. Since then I have been holding off drinking until the 19th hole and have manage to make par on a few holes. All you have to do is to look at John Daly to know drinking during your round is a recipe for disaster.

Keeping confident is a key principle of golfing well in my opinion. It just so happens booze has that as a side effect. =] Just think if people could harness that idea. You gys should check out this post on golf attitude I think you'll really enjoy it.

to drink a beer or two. Can it help your game? The obvious answer is "no" but someone spent a lot of time thinking it through, so I thought I would give them a shot to answer. It's a pretty clever article including a "chart" so it must be legit. (GeniusTypes.com

Beer is OK, but I think the greatest benefit comes from hard liquor. I definitely believe that 'taking the edge off' can reduce nerves and enhance concentration in a skill game like golf.
