My “can’t do without” devices are:

1. laptop
2. treo (palm of course)
3. satellite radio (I use Sirius, but in a year it won’t matter)

Actually I think I’ll write a blog post on Treo(p) vs. Treo(w).

I am not a fan of monopolies either. Considering there is plenty of free radio, and cable radio is a luxury choice, I don’t see it as a monopoly. I think the only way the can shell out money for the content is to divide that between more subscribers.

A merger would be great if it expanded the selection and prices stayed low, but I don’t see that happening. I’ve never been a fan of monopolies.

Come on, how do you pick XM over Sirius? Just kidding, but I am a Sirius subscriber. They have a great Jam band station that my favorite artist often guest DJ on.

Think the DOJ will let the Sirius/XM merger go through? I hope so, I think it will be good for consumers. I don’t think the companies can continue at the losses they currently have.
