The Law of Attraction was introduced into pop culture by the movie, “The Secret.”
The Law of Attraction states that you attract the things that you think about most. Basically, your thoughts become your reality. This means that if you are thinking “I don’t want this,” you are attracting it. The Law of Attraction does not distinguish between what you want and don’t want. It only gives you what you think about.
From the psychological paradigm, a person’s actions will reflect their thoughts, and their actions will create their reality.
From a scientific paradigm, a person who is acting a certain way will be more likely, by matter of probability, to achieve their thoughts.
From a spiritual paradigm, a person’s thoughts send out energy that attracts their reality.
But, understanding how the Law of Attraction works is counter-productive. This principle is the most intangible of all the principles presented in this website, and so a person can easily “think” themselves out of believing, but what matters is that it works, not how.
It seems that people can be too smart for their own good. If a person is so smart that they reason themselves out of their own confidence, they are undermining their own goals. The “smart” strategy seems to be to go with what works, not what can be explained.
The Law of Attraction is tied closely to personal responsibility. If you accept the fact that you have attracted everything that has happened to you in your life, you also take responsibility for it.
The Law of Attraction is also related to gravity. It seems that the more our thoughts are focused on one thing, the more they build their own gravity that attracts the thing we want. When we oscillate between confidence and doubt, our thoughts cannot build this gravity.
The Law of Attraction is also related to persistence. Since the gravity of our thoughts grows exponentially, it is important that you focus on your goal long enough for it to manifest. Most people quit believing too early.
