Synergy was made into a corporate culture buzz-word in the ’80’s when it appeared as the seventh habit in Stephen R. Covey ‘s famous personal development book, “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.”
Synergy is when the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts. In order for this to happen there must be value from not only the individual parts, but from the interaction between them.
Synergy is what happens when a team comes together to accomplish a goal. Each individual understands that by working together, they can accomplish more than the sum of all of their individual accomplishments.
In order to have synergy, each individual has to have an abundance mentality. They have to trust their individual future to that of the group.
