Motivation comes from a sense of purpose. It starts when a person find their true passion, or genius within. Everyone has something that gets them excited, unfortunately most people are working jobs far outside their area of passion.
There are a lot of reasons why people get into this situation, maybe they think that they can make more money in another field, maybe they are working in the same field that their parents worked in, or maybe they haven’t found their passion yet.
Regardless of the reason, people find it hard to get motivated about something that they are not passionate about. What people don’t realize is that even though it may take longer to make money in their area of passion, their chances of success are exponentially greater.
The second part of motivation is imagining a goal, which is the creative side. The goal has to be so vivid that it feels real to all five senses as well as the senses of intuition and logic. A person who can clearly see their future can easily navigate through tough times knowing what is in store for them.
The third part of motivation is the follow-through, or the business side. In order to be willing to follow-through, a person must understand the value of persistence and the principle of exponential growth. These two basically say that the hardest part of a goal is at the beginning, and this is why most people quit. People who understand this will keep motivated until they reach their goals.
Creative people are usually have the imagination part down, and business people usually have the follow-through part down, but you really need both to remain motivated, and neither matters if you haven’t found your passion.
